Dr. Peter Stoner

Dr. Peter Stoner, a Freedom Rider, devotes over 20 years and approximately $75,000 toward research and planning for a botanical garden on these historic grounds.

A New Chapter

Roderick D. Gay's Vision

Roderick D. Gay, MPA acquires the long-term vision for a botanical garden on this property, guided by faith, community purpose, and a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Master Planning

A World-Class Blueprint

The Master Conceptual Plan is developed, outlining a 38-acre initial development with seven distinct garden districts, the 109-foot Nexus Waterfall, and a 22.7-acre ecotourism expansion.

Breaking Ground

Construction begins on the initial development. The vision that spanned decades begins to take physical form.
